01 Flaxseed 

In the 52nd week (December 23-December 27, 2024), the national average price of domestic flax seeds is 5,213 yuan/ton; the price of Russian first-grade screened flax seeds at Tianjin Port is 5,200 yuan/ton; the price of Russian first-grade raw flax seeds at Tianjin Port is 5,000 yuan/ton. Weekly Review:

This week, the price of flaxseed fell across the country. The Spring Festival did not significantly boost the flaxseed market, mainly due to weak demand, slow sales, and weak flaxseed market. The operating rate of oil mills is 30%-40%, and the flaxseed cake is not selling fast, which drags down the flaxseed market. This week, the international flaxseed price is 550-560 US dollars/ton for the new season in the Black Sea region of southern Russia, which is the same as last week; 530-540 US dollars/ton in the central region, which is higher than last week, with a shipping date of January-February; Canada's quotation is 600-630 US dollars/ton, which is stable compared with last week; Kazakhstan's quotation is 500-510 US dollars/ton, which is stable compared with last week.

It is expected that the price of flaxseed will fall in the short term. The sales speed of flaxseed and flax cake has not been fast recently, and the transaction is not prosperous. Flaxseeds are arriving at the port one after another. The cost of arrival in Russia is relatively low, which is not conducive to the improvement of the flaxseed market at the port. The output of Russian flaxseed is about 1.7 million tons, which is a significant increase from the previous estimate, so the flaxseed market may continue to weaken.

02 Flax oil

This week, the price of linseed oil remained stable. At present, the operating rate of linseed oil factories in China is low, the supply pressure of linseed oil market is not great, the speed of goods moving is relatively stable, and the demand is stable. It is expected that the price of linseed oil will remain stable in the short term. In terms of supply, the operating rate of linseed oil factories in various regions is not high, and the supply of linseed oil is small. Therefore, the overall supply and demand of linseed oil is balanced, so the price does not change much.

03 Flax cake

Week 52 (December 23-December 27, 2024) This week's flaxseed cake prices are as follows: Zhangjiakou 2850-3400 yuan/ton; Datong 2800-2900 yuan/ton; Shenchi 3100 yuan/ton; Zhongwei 2600-2900 yuan/ton; Shizuishan 3300 yuan/ton; Baotou 3000 yuan/ton; Tianjin 3200 yuan/ton.

This week, the overall price of flax cake was stable, the flax cake sales were slow, and the demand was weak, which was bearish for the flax cake market. However, the price of soybean meal is weak, which drags down the price of flax cake.
