01 Flaxseed

In the first week (December 30, 2024 - January 3, 2025), the national average price of domestic flax seeds is 5,200 yuan/ton; the price of Russian first-grade screened flax seeds at Tianjin Port is 5,200 yuan/ton; the price of Russian first-grade raw flax seeds at Tianjin Port is 5,000 yuan/ton. Weekly Review:

This week, the national flaxseed price was stable with a slight decline. The Spring Festival did not significantly boost the flaxseed market, mainly because the foreign market price was weak and the recent arrival volume was relatively large, which suppressed the flaxseed market. This week, the international flaxseed price, the new season flaxseed in the Black Sea region of southern Russia was 550-560 US dollars/ton, the same as last week; the central region was 530-540 US dollars/ton, the same as last week, and the shipping period was February-March; Canada quoted 590 US dollars/ton, down from last week; Kazakhstan quoted 500-510 US dollars/ton, stable from last week.

It is expected that the flaxseed price will remain stable in the short term. A large amount of flaxseed has arrived at the port, and the cost of arrival in Russia is relatively low, which is not conducive to the improvement of the port flaxseed market. However, due to the pre-holiday stimulus, the speed of flaxseed oil and flax cake sales has accelerated, the operating rate of oil mills has increased, and the consumption of flaxseed has accelerated, which is good for the flaxseed market.

02 Flax oil

This week, the price of linseed oil remained basically stable, with a slight increase in Tianjin. At present, the operating rate of Chinese linseed oil factories has increased slightly, and the supply of linseed oil has increased, which is bearish for the linseed oil market. In terms of demand, with the Spring Festival approaching, the demand for linseed oil is good, and the speed of goods is fast, which is good for the linseed oil market. It is expected that the price of linseed oil will remain stable in the short term, and the prices of domestic soybean oil and rapeseed oil will generally fall, dragging down the linseed oil market.

03 Flax cake

Week 1 (December 30, 2024 - January 3, 2025) This week's flaxseed cake prices are as follows: Zhangjiakou 2850-3400 yuan/ton; Datong 2800-2900 yuan/ton; Shenchi 3100 yuan/ton; Zhongwei 2600-2900 yuan/ton; Shizuishan 3300 yuan/ton; Baotou 3000 yuan/ton; Tianjin 3200 yuan/ton.

This week, the overall price of flax cake was stable, the transaction was not strong, and the market trend was weak. It is expected that the price of flax cake may continue to run smoothly in the short term. With the Spring Festival approaching, the operating rate of flaxseed oil plants has an overall upward trend, and the supply has increased overall, which is bearish for the flaxseed cake market. The domestic soybean meal price is weak, which drags down the price of flax cake, so flax cake may still fall.
